The update for the PC-version of The Evil Within allows you to remove the black bars on the screen

Users can remove the "cinematic" with black stripes pictures The Evil Within since the day of release, when the company Bethesda released a list of console commands to get rid of the annoying registration and unlock the frame rate.

Now the studio Tango Gameworks add these features in the game settings menu - which means you no longer need to dig into the properties of the shortcut and run the command line. Here is a detailed list of changes in the patch:

     Added settings unlock the frame rate;
     You can switch between the restrictions in 30fps and 60fps;
     Letterboxing setting (black bars on the screen);
     optional interface for enabling / disabling the black stripes;
     Corrections in the game for stable operation with a frame rate> 30fps;
     Corrections in the visual display without black bands;
     achieve work-enabled console;
     Fickle for the first run of the game in windowed mode;
     Small changes in the localization.

The Evil Within is also available on the PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, where users can not get rid of the black bars. Since the screen for these bands are a lot of interesting, hard to believe, though they were not made to improve performance.
